CNC Programmer

Alvarado, TX

Responsibilities:
  • Incumbent will use Auto-Cad to interpret a print of a part to be burned, drilled, and/or punched for the purpose of supplying the CNC machines with needed information to produce the part.
  • Communicates with Engineering, Production, and Material Management to keep abreast of changes in part dimensions, production scheduling of parts and manufacturing needs to complete order.
  • Prepares material requirements for Purchasing Department and processes order for manufacturing.
  • Utilizes excess inventory in the most efficient way to substitute and/or modify existing assemblies or parts to fill in existing orders.
  • Responsible for updating program files in manufacturing CNC machines.
  • Prepares anchor bolt setting templates.

Requirements:
  • Two years experience in Industrial Engineering or manufacturing of any steel products. Monopoles/structural experience preferred.
  • Sigmanest experience preferred.
  • Ability to do basic math: addition, subtraction, multiplication, trigonometry, division and algebra, with both fractions and decimals.
  • Have a basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Knowledge of Auto-Cad systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret production drawings.
Educational Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Associates in CNC Programming preferred.

Inventory Control Specialist C

Sioux City, IA

Responsibilities:
  • Performs cycle counts of all parts and materials.
  • Maintains bin accuracy and precise counts for both inside and outside bins.
  • Tracks and records heat numbers for all jobs and production orders.
  • Inputs correct counts of material and parts into Epicor.
  • Verifies all material and parts are returned including counts, part numbers and checking for damage.
  • Receives incoming material into the ERP system.
  • Issues and ques material out of inventory.
  • Contributes to a safe working environment by being responsible for quality, safety, organization, and cleanliness in area of operation.
  • Contributes to team effort by communicating and working well with others, as well as accomplishing related tasks as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • 1 to 3 years of recent inventory control or warehouse experience, along with forklift operating experience.
  • Candidate will also have working knowledge of Microsoft office products such as Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communications skills are a must.
  • Must work well in a team environment.
  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment.

Project Manager

Responsibilities:
  • Strong Customer Service -Maintaining Client relations with an eye to maintaining contracts and customer loyalty.
  • Communicates directly with customer, purchasing agents, engineers, field supervisors, project managers, and vendors.
  • Communicates directly with internal department personnel, i.e., Sales, Purchasing, Engineering, Drafting, Production, Shipping, and Accounting.

ERP Analyst I

Responsibilities:
  • The application of systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users, to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications.
    • Analyze and assess existing business systems and procedures
    • Assist in the definition, development, and documentation of software’s business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project by project basis
    • Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve business system issues.

Quality Manager

Responsibilities:
  • Develops and maintains quality systems to establish standards related to Quality Control activities and products, and measures performance against established standards.
  • Plans and directs activities concerned with development, application and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products.
  • Analyze data on the effectiveness of the QC Department and evaluate where continual improvements can be made.
  • Guides employees engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product or process quality and reliability.
  • Assures the tests are performed in accordance with the Company's and Customer's standards and specifications.

  • At least 5 years of people management experience including strong competencies in talent identification and development, coaching and mentoring is required.
  • Must be familiar with a wide range of equipment and tools used in steel manufacturing, and have the ability to read and understand drawings, work orders, safety rules, and various manuals.

Racking Department Lead

Responsibilities:
  • Runs, maneuvers, navigates or drives heavy equipment or mechanized equipment in receiving area, such as forklifts, cranes/overhead cranes, trucks, etc.Receives material and prepares it to be galvanized by hanging it with proper lifting devices, chains, wires, etc. to make sure it is properly and safely attached to the racks/cranes either manually or by use of equipment.

  • Inspect all material before galvanizing to insure material meets all Sabre Safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Enforce established housekeeping standards.
  • Inform QA/QC Technician of any quality concerns and inform Maintenance Lead on any and all equipment failures and concerns.
  • Additional duties as assigned by Supervisor and/or Management.

Requirements:
  • Must be able to work in an outside manufacturing environment for long shifts, including some weekends.
  • Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving entire body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, bending, twisting and handling of materials.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Must have the ability to concentrate on tasks for long periods of time and be able to observe and receive information from all relevant sources.
  • Position requires manual dexterity, arm-hand steadiness and a safety-minded individual.
  • Must be able to twist wire used to hang material on racks or hooks or other equipment used to receive and rack equipment for galvanizing purposes.
  • Must be able to work in an open environment exposed to extreme temperatures.

  • Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides feet, inches, fractions, and decimals. Uses tables to convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions.
  • Adjust welding machines to achieve desired results within parameters of established welding procedures. Frequently pushes pulls and lifts up to 50 pounds.
  • Uses GMAC or FCAW welding process to weld small components or assemblies.
  • Uses chipping hammer, wire brush, motorized grinders, and motorized wire brush at various times to clean welded areas.
  • Uses pneumatic drills and magnetic drills to drill carious size holes on pole assembly as required by drawings and specifications.

Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on all plant equipment and facilities
  • Perform diagnosis, testing, disassembly, inspecting, repair and re-assembly of plant equipment or components such as hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, hydraulic shear, vacuum equipment, roller leveler, cranes, etc
  • Perform skilled trouble shooting and servicing of pneumatic and hydraulic components
  • Perform proper replacement and/or adjustment of mechanical clutches, drive trains, etc

  • The pole assembly generally consists of a round tube or formed shaft, baseplate, hand hole, arm mounting simplex, tenon top, vangs, step lugs, ladder clips, and/or other small parts
  • Read and interpret drawings to determine parts needed to assemble pole assembly
  • Frequently pushes, pulls, and lifts up to 50 lbs
  • Read and interpret drawings to assure proper location of various small part attachments
  • Layout various locations on round tube or formed shaft based upon interpretation of drawings and specifications
  • Uses measuring tape, level, square, and angle finders to measure distances and angles. Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides feet, inches, fractions, and decimals. Uses table to convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions
  • Uses plasma torch and oxy-fuel torch to cut steel
  • Uses jigs made at Sabre/Texas for laying out vang slots and for cutting holes in shafts for inserting hand hole rims, arm mounting simplex, couplings, and other small parts
  • Moves around round tube or formed shaft as necessary to get into proper position to accurately measure and assemble components described above including standing on elevated platform when necessitated by the size of the shafts
  • Uses motorized grinders, motorized buffers, stone grinders, and drills to help assemble pole assembly according to prescribed specifications, codes and drawing
  • Wears protective face shield and safety glasses to protect eyes and face
  • Adjusts welding machine to achieve desired results within parameters of established welding procedures by changing tips, ceramic cups, and electrodes in plasma torch as needed to achieve
  • Uses chipping hammer, wire brush, motorized grinder, and motorized wire brush at various times to clean welded area
  • Uses pneumatic drills and magnetic drills to drill and ream various sizes holes in poles as required by the drawing
  • Wears protective equipment, including safety glasses, insulated welding gloves, welding cap, leather sleeves, and/or cape, and welding hood for protection against hot metal, arc rays, and grinding debris

  • Recent experience working with Quality Control in a welding/manufacturing environment preferred
  • Must be able to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, and in all types of weather conditions such as rain, snow, heat, and cold
  • Must possess strong English verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to build relationships with co-workers and other internal customers

Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain all equipment as required by the equipment supplier and Sabre operating guidelines
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on all equipment
  • Fabricate necessary jigs, stands, racks, and specialized equipment, etc. as required
  • Work with and/or supervise specialized contract labor as required
  • Follow all maintenance schedules developed by the Maintenance Lead or the equipment manufacturer without compromise
  • Make recommendations to improve production flow, equipment performance, quality of product, and cost efficiency.

  • Working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Effectively and safely utilizes ladders, manlifts, forklifts, overhead cranes, monorails, etc.
  • Must be able to work in an open environment exposed to extreme temperatures
  • Must be able to obtain STS Forklift/Crane Certification
  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
  • Must be physically able to climb stairs and ladders
  • Capable of working at elevated heights up to 60'
  • Capable of working in hazardous environments such as acid containment areas and high temperature areas
