EHS Manager

Responsibilities:
  • Drive strategy of continuous improvement for EHS Initiatives
  • Comply with all environmental, health and safety federal, state, local regulations and company policies.
  • Perform Risk Assessments with all departments to determine the potential hazards of new processes and projects (capital projects and others) and ensure that all applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations, along with industry standards, (ANSI, NFPA, ACGIH) are followed.
  • Work very closely and cooperatively with site leadership to bring safety improvement actions and focus by bringing balance between production and safety.
  • On monthly basis, lead an executive overview of safety to senior STS leadership providing trends, paretos and corrective action analysis.
  • Manage all JSA's and training programs
  • Drive Safety Management Programs to help reduce accidents
  • Manage EHS reporting
  • Manage Workers' Compensation program by partnering with HR and carrier to help reduce costs.
  • Develop and implement emergency evacuation plans and procedures.
  • Participate in management health, safety and environmental audits.
  • Oversees employee safety committee
  • Ensures training and maintenance of procedures for first responder's teams.
  • Ensures company's contractor safety and training compliance.

Industrial Maintenance Technician (Days)

Sioux City, IA

Responsibilities:
  • Performs diagnosis, testing, disassembly, inspecting, repair and re-assembly of plant equipment or components such as hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, hydraulic shear, vacuum equipment, roller leveler, cranes, electrical boards and components, etc.
  • Performs skilled trouble shooting and servicing of pneumatic and hydraulic components.
  • Performs proper replacement and/or adjustment of mechanical clutches, drive trains, etc.
  • Repairs worn parts, straightens and fabricates fixtures (welding, cutting, brazing, and surface hardening applications).
  • Assists personnel and operators in proper direction of equipment repairs.
  • Performs major and general repairs on all equipment.
  • Records labor and material used on each repair made.
  • Takes proper care and use of test equipment.
  • Properly uses lift equipment (cranes, booms, manlifts, cherry picker, etc.)

Requirements:

Material Handler,(STP Warehouse)

Sioux City, IA

Responsibilities:
  • Moves and stacks materials using a forklift when needed.
  • Performs receiving and pre-ship functions of all types of material. This would include duties such as verifying that part numbers and quantities match the bundling sheets or inbound BOLs.
  • Operates material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ensures quality of shipped items by verifying and identifying information and quality/condition of items as well as taking steps necessary to protect items from damage while they are being loaded and transported to vendors and customers.
  • Ensures the material being received and shipped conforms to Sabre's or customer's requirements.
  • Accurately process all required paperwork and documentation for entry in Epicor (ERP system).

Construction Manager (Mods)

Responsibilities:
  • Effectively manages site supervisors and subcontractors to ensure efficient and effective workforce utilization. Develops plans that are appropriate, comprehensive and effective in the scheduling of crews and subcontractors for the successful completion of work.
  • Provides crews, site supervisors and subcontractors with required documentation to complete jobs and tasks effectively including, but not limited to - work orders, scope of work, construction drawings, bill of materials, customer timelines; and customer required status and closeout documentation requirements.

      Responsibilities:
      • Sets, operates and maintains shot blast and liquid coating equipment.
      • Maintains complete records of all liquid paints and solvents used during each 4-hour period. Assures that painting volume is limited to appropriate levels to assure compliance with regulations and policies regarding emissions.
      • Maintains compliance with regulations and policies regarding the safe storage, use, and disposal of hazardous materials and hazardous wastes.
      • Properly handles, stores, and uses painting materials in compliance with applicable fire regulations and policies.
      • Performs daily, weekly and monthly operator preventative maintenance on designated equipment.
      • Determines what products are needed, locates and identifies products to be brought in for painting.
      • Safely operates forklift, cart pusher and overhead crane to move product.
      • Operates and maintains conveyors and elevator for recycling steel grit, and air filtration system for purifying air to be exhausted from the blasting chamber.
      • Monitors level of blasting media in the storage hopper and adds material when needed.
      • Manually wraps finished product after paint has dried.
      • Uses digital film thickness gauge to measure film thickness to assure product has adequate paint thickness and coverage according to Sabre Industries, Inc. specifications. Log thickness readings on log sheet.
      • Uses MES station to accurately record time and labor on all product throughout the entire coating process.
      • Uses proper measures to assure long and productive life of all equipment and facilities. Includes immaculate housekeeping at all times.
      • Maintains high level of alertness regarding safety and housekeeping. When movement of products exposes unkept areas, takes immediate action to clean up dunage and debris.
      • Performs other duties as assigned.

      Requirements:
      • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

      Welder I

      Bossier City, LA

      Responsibilities:
      • Reads and interprets drawings and specifications to determine proper location of attachments, as well as weld size and configuration.
      • Forms welded products by being welder certified for all materials and procedures.
      • Uses oxy-fuel torch to pre-heat parts to be welded in accordance with published.
      • Uses GMAC or FCAW welding process to weld small components or assemblies.
      • Uses chipping hammer, wire brush, motorized grinders, and motorized wire brush at various times to clean welded areas.
      • Uses overhead cranes to transport and move material. Overhead crane training will be required (training will be completed in-house).
      • Uses pneumatic drills and magnetic drills to drill carious size holes on pole.
      • Visually inspects work to identify material discrepancies and to ensure that welds have been completed in compliance with applicable drawings and specifications.
      • Uses a weld gauge to measure weld size.
      • Reads and interprets work orders and daily production schedules.
      • Prepares items for fabrication by laying out & marking holes, cut lines, and other.
      • Uses oxy-fuel cutting torch and plasma-arc torch to cut steel.

      Requirements:
      • GMAW or Metal Core welding experience preferred
      • Mathematical aptitude a plus
      Educational Requirements:
      • High school diploma, or equivalent
      • Minimum 3 months experience using saws or similar equipment

      QC Manager

      Responsibilities:
      • Position Summary: This position is responsible for leading the Quality Department in achieving operational excellence and continuous quality improvement objectives through assuring consistent quality of production by maintaining and enforcing quality manufacturing controls; validating processes; providing documentation; and managing staff.
      • Essential Duties & Responsibilities
      • Develops and maintains systems to establish standards related to Quality Control activities and products, and measures performance against established standards.
      • Plans and directs activities concerned with development, application and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products.
      • Analyzes and writes test procedures; maintains documentation of results; and consults with Department Directors and other personnel in resolution of problems.

      • Maintains all project related inspection documentation, and monitors adherence to standards and actively checks for accuracy of data received or generated before passing it on.
      • Reports changes in standards (both internally and externally initiated) and performace against standards.
      • Ensures that the Quality Manual is properly written and maintained.
      • Acts as Management Representative for AISC certification.
      • Performs internal audits as required by the AISC.

      • Technical Training, Certifications:"Must meet the requirements of ASNT SNT-TC-1A for Level II Certification in the ultrasonic and magnetic particle inspection methods, and be familiar with non-destructive testing methods.
      • Must be certified, or previously certified, as an AWS Certified Weld Inspector (CWI).
      • Experience:Minimum of 5 years of successful quality management in steel fabrication or similar manufacturing environment.

      Responsibilities:
      • Hooks and unhooks trailers from the tractor itself, including pushing and/ or pulling dollies into place and cranking lever to raise and lower landing gear on semi-trailers. Loads and unloads trailer with mechanical freight handling equipment as required.
      • Ensures truck and trailers are in good, clean operating conditions.
      • Inspects truck for defects and safe operating condition before, during and after trips and submits reports on the condition of the truck at the end of each trip.

          Responsibilities:
          • Manually positions pole assembly in pole rollers into proper position for welding.  Reads and interprets drawings (including weld symbols) and specifications to determine proper location of attachments, as well as weld size and configuration.
          • Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides feet, inches, fractions, and decimals. Uses tables to convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions.
          • Adjust welding machines to achieve desired results within parameters of established welding procedures. Frequently pushes pulls and lifts up to 50 pounds.
          • Uses GMAC or FCAW welding process to weld small components or assemblies.
          • Uses chipping hammer, wire brush, motorized grinders, and motorized wire brush at various times to clean welded areas.
          • Uses pneumatic drills and magnetic drills to drill carious size holes on pole assembly as required by drawings and specifications.

                  • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
                  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
                  • Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
                  • Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
                  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
                  • Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
                  • Must work well in a group or team environment
                  • Background and or highly interested in solar grid tie systems
                  • Must regularly wear protective personal equipment such as steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, hard hats, and ear plugs and adhere to all site requirements
                  Educational Requirements:
                  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field of study
                  • Lean Certification is a plus
                  • Working toward Professional Engineer certification
