Responsibilities:
  • Summary: This position is responsible for operating an all-terrain forklift for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, and stocking materials in accordance to shipping procedures and customer requirements.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Ensures quality of all shipping items by verifying and identifying information and quality/condition of items as well as taking steps necessary to protect items from damage while being loaded on trucks and in shipping containers.
  • Loads and unloads material in a safe and organized manner at all times.

Responsibilities:
  • Under the direct supervision of the Tower Shop Supervisor and his appointed Lead, the Long Seam Welder uses specified welding processes and procedures to achieve 100% penetration welds for specified lengths of each shafts seam within prescribed codes, and according to prescribed procedures, specifications, and drawings.
  • Duties & Responsibilities
    ?Performs visual inspection of the entire length of each seam to identify areas requiring repair.
    ?Reads and interprets drawings and/or computer print out “flatsheets” to determine requirement for 100% penetration welds.
    ?Grinds and/or air-arc gouges areas as necessary in preparation for welding.
    ?Adjusts welding machine to achieve desired results within parameters of established welding procedures.
    ?Using specified welding process (FCAW, GMAW, and/or SAW,) welds required areas to obtain 100% penetration.
    ?Reads and interprets applicable specifications and welding codes and procedures to determine preheat requirements. Uses oxy-fuel heating torch to preheat work specified temperature. Uses instruments provided to measure temperature of the material.
    ?Reads and interprets work orders and daily production schedules. Writes entries on daily production log to show work completed.
    ?Uses overhead crane to position work in pole-rollers and to move completed poles to designated areas.
    ?Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides feet, inches, fractions, and decimals. Uses tables to convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions.
    ?Visually inspects his/her work to assure that welds have been completed satisfactorily in accordance with applicable drawings, specifications, and codes.
    ?Assists and instructs other welders when needed to overcome deficiencies in quality and/or productivity.
    ?Wears protective equipment including safety glasses, insulated welding gloves, leather sleeves, and/or cape, face shield, and welding hood to protect himself from hot metal, arc rays, grinding debris, and other potentially harmful conditions.
    ?Inspects end of poles for straightness and squareness of edge cuts. Trims and/or grinds as necessary, in order to leave ends suitable for shipment to customer, or for fit up base plates.
    ?Uses power drills to drill and/or ream holes in pole sections as required by drawings.
    ?Welds other products in his or her area using either FCAW or GMAW process.
    ?Assembles two piece developments.
    ?Determines amperage and voltage settings, feed rate settings, required weld procedures, weld size and amount of penetration required.
    ?Grinds and/or cleans seams to ensure the required penetration and necessary UT quality weld.
    ?Performs daily, weekly, monthly operator preventive maintenance on seam weld machine.
    ?Adjust amperage, voltage, speed rates, and machine pressures constantly throughout the welding process to compensate for variations from the cutting and bending operations and the material variations.
    ?Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • ? Must have knowledge of basic shop mathematics, addition, subtraction, fractions, multiplication and decimals.
    ? Proficiency in reading complex prints and specifications.
    ? Must know how to properly use a weld gauge.

Inventory Control Supervisor-STP

Equipment Operator B

Bossier City, LA

Responsibilities:
  • Assists machine operators, welders, and other personnel in loading/unloading, transporting raw, in-process, and finished materials throughout the facility.
  • Uses forklifts and other heavy equipment such as cranes to safely and effectively move various sizes of steel plates and poles.
  • Stages all stock and manufactured steel plate to production.
  • Moves in-process and finished poles to appropriate areas.
  • Abides by all Safety Standards and Policies including the use of all personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Performs routine safety inspections prior to operating equipment.

Requirements:
  • 1 to 3 years of recent inventory control or warehouse experience, along with forklift driving or crane/heavy equipment experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Effective and efficient English communication skills required to communicate efficiently within all levels of a team environment via two-way radio, email and in person.
  • Must be able to drive and operate a forklift and pass the Sabre forklift certification. Including the vision requirements: Distant Vision: must be 20/40 or greater corrected or uncorrected in each eye. Near Vision: must be J2 or better corrected or uncorrected, 12 inches from face in each eye. Depth Perception: must be at less than 50 seconds of arc or greater than 60% Shepard Fry in each eye.
  • Position requires work in a plant/manufacturing environment.

  • Summary:
    The Contracts Administrator I provides customer support after an order comes in to Sabre. He/She provides scheduling information to other departments within Sabre.
  • Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates proficiency in product knowledge, its applications and all related job functions.
  • Makes initial contact with the customer upon receipt of an order to establish a dialogue and to determine the points of contact between the customer and Sabre Towers and Poles.
  • Manages multiple customer projects and maintains all schedules for each of the customers' order.
  • Coordinates required schedule requirements between all departments.
  • Assists other departments by coordinating and documenting changes that may be required by the customer.

Responsibilities:
  • Under the direct supervision, the Long Seam Welder uses specified welding processes and procedures to achieve 100% penetration welds for specified lengths of each shafts seam within prescribed codes, and according to prescribed procedures, specifications and drawings.

Responsibilities:
  • Position Summary: Under the direction of the Superintendent and Lead person, the painter performs all duties involved in surface preparation (including shot blast, wrapping, and taping off), spray-gun application liquid coatings, and touch up required on products for shipment. The painter is also responsible for understanding and complying with safety and environmental regulations and policies as they pertain to the painting procedures.

      Responsibilities:
      • Summary:
        The fitter works under the direct supervision of the shift supervisor and his/her assigned lead person. The fitter performs various production tacking processes within prescribed codes, and according to prescribed procedures, specifications, and drawings.
      • Responsibilities:
      • Uses the Flux Core Arc Welding process to tack weld various small components to round or formed shafts to make a pole assembly for the welder to weld. The pole assembly generally consists of a round tube or formed shaft, baseplate, hand hole, arm mounting simplex, tenon top, vangs, step lugs, ladder clips, and/or other small parts.
      • Works on individual fitter station to assemble pole assembly. Assist material handler in loading round tube or formed shaft on individual fitter station.
      • Reads and interprets drawings to determine parts needed to assemble pole assembly. Locate and gather Storeroom Personnel staged parts needed for assembly from parts staging area. Frequently pushes, pulls, and lifts up to 50 pounds.
      • Reads and interprets drawing to assure proper location of various small part attachments. Layout various locations on round tube or formed shaft based upon interpretation of drawings and specifications.
      • Uses measuring tape, level, square, and angle finders to measure distances and angles. Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides feet, inches, fractions, and decimals. Uses table to convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions.
      • Uses plasma torch and oxy-fuel torch to cut steel. Uses jigs made at Sabre for laying out vang slots and for cutting holes in shafts for inserting hand hole rims, arm mounting simplex, couplings, and other small parts. Wear protective goggles or welding hood to protect eyes from harmful rays.
      • Moves around round tube or formed shaft as necessary to get into proper position to accurately measure and assemble components described above including standing on elevated platform when necessitated by the size of the shafts.
      • Uses motorized grinders, motorized buffers, stone grinders, and drills to help assemble pole assembly according to prescribed specifications, codes and drawing. Wears protective face shield and safety glasses to protect eyes and face.
      • Adjusts welding machine to achieve desired results within parameters of established welding procedures. Changes tips, ceramic cups, and electrodes in plasma torch as needed to achieve desired cutting results.
      • Uses oxy-fuel torch to preheat parts prior to welding. Read codes and specifications to determine proper temperature and uses instruments provided to measure temperature.
      • Uses pneumatic drills and magnetic drills to drill and ream various sizes holes in poles as required by the drawing.
      • Wears protective equipment, including safety glasses, insulated welding gloves, welding cap, leather sleeves, and/or cape, and welding hood for protection against hot metal, arc rays, grinding debris, and other potentially.
      • Uses overhead crane to load finished poles into bolsters for transportation out of the pole assembly area.
      • Assist and instructs other welders and fitters when needed to overcome deficiencies in quality and/or productivity.

          Uses measuring tape, level, square, and angle finders to measure distances and angles. Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides feet, inches, fractions, and decimals. Uses table to convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions.
          Uses plasma torch and oxy-fuel torch to cut steel. Uses jigs made at Sabre/Texas for laying out vang slots and for cutting holes in shafts for inserting hand hole rims, arm mounting simplex, couplings, and other small parts.           Moves around round tube or formed shaft as necessary to get into proper position to accurately measure and assemble components described above including standing on elevated platform when necessitated by the size of the shafts.

          • Manually positions pole assembly in pole rollers into proper position for welding.

          • Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides feet, inches, fractions, and decimals. Uses tables to convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions

          • Adjusts welding machine to achieve desired results within parameters of established welding procedures. Changes tips, ceramic cups, and electrodes in plasma torch as needed to achieve desired cutting results.

              • Responsible for the design of large scale solar power conversion stations and utility interactive battery energy storage systems from initial design to final installation.

              Requirements:
              • 3-5 years of practical Engineering experience.
              • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services
              • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
              • Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
              • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
              • Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
              • Background and or highly interested in solar grid tie systems, battery storage systems, telecommunications, power substations and/or renewable energy.
              • Must work well in a group, or team environment.
              Educational Requirements:
              • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field of study
              • Lean Certification a plus
              • Working toward Professional Engineer certification

              Shift:

              • Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, Overtime and Weekends as needed
